Greatest Save 2015

Greatest Save Returns to Kokomo!

Launched in 1991 in Southern California as a result of the kidnapping and murder of seven year old Leticia Hernandez, KinderVision/The Greatest Save is a national personal safety education program dedicated to protecting children and teens from sexual exploitation and abduction. Developed with the assistance of law enforcement and research including an interview with a convicted child killer, The Greatest Save teaches personal safety via a unique, pro-active multimedia program that uses several complementary approaches including age appropriate TGS Safety Education DVDs (K.I.N.D.I., Little Red Said and Big League Interview), on-site TGS Kids Events, comprehensive on-line elements such as TGS Safety Quiz and classroom materials, and on-air safety messages, designed to be an ongoing resource for families, schools, law enforcement, and youth-serving organizations to teach children and teens how to avoid sexual predators – because The Greatest Save is the one we never have to make.   Created in 2005, The Greatest Save name reflects KinderVision’s focus on older kids and teens as well as children and its ongoing partnership with Major League Baseball, Media, Law Enforcement and Educators nationwide.

A recognized charity of Major League Baseball and supported by law enforcement nationwide, The Greatest Save is a nonprofit 501c3 crime prevention program available in English and Spanish funded solely through individual and corporate contributions with the safety materials provided free to families whenever possible on site, on air, and on line.  Millions of children have benefitted from  KinderVision/The Greatest Save resources since its inception.

Aimed at preventing child and teen sexual exploitation and abduction, TGS resources are used by law enforcement, schools, churches, youth-serving organizations, and families throughout the country to protect kids of all ages by helping them instinctively recognize risk and respond appropriately.
